What if the player needs first team football at this stage and going on loan is the best thing to do?

Getting Song in means Oxford can deputise if needed.

Rodfarts...

Just to clarify, Sam Allardyce is not the manager anymore & Slaven "answer to west ham's prayers" Bilic is.

Decent DMF

Should of been used instead of Oxford. But that's the managers fault.....its also the managers fault he's out on loan.

Mismanaged imo

Re: Poyet to Milton Keynes just makes no sense at all
I said on here some months ago that I was disappointed in the signing of Poyet.

Watched him grow up as a player, seen him many times play against us at several age groups and never been impressed.

He sits very deep, is slow across the ground and lacks vision and is very one footed - more capable players have been released from our academy in the last 18 months. He was just lucky to be at a club that needed to blood youngsters in their 1st team and so was able to get a whole load of 1st team games under his belt and thats what managers look for, not talent but experience.

Not been impressed with him at all .dont think bilic has either ,picked a 16 year old in front of him.

he was outstanding passing the ball sideways for half a game against some postmen and bus drivers.
Outrageous decision

Hardly stood out when he's played, looks a fair way off being good enough for us.

Was hoping he would be getting a few games this season 😁😳

It makes perfect sense to me - I always think that when signing a player from the championship it's always better if they are under 24 years of age and have at least 150-200 games under their belt...

Recent examples

Nathaniel Clyne
Aaron Cresswell

Poyet had only played about 20 games for Charlton

Seems beginning with Westley, people have not like what they have seen this year.

Hopefully find his way as he does not seem close to get any decent time right now.

It makes complete sense now we've "signed Song".

Good luck to him. Go and grow and learn. If he remains within the club he'll be used only for such as Carling cup games and bench warming.

Re: Poyet to Milton Keynes just makes no sense at all
He looked mustard a year ago when I saw him against Sheff utd in the LC. Not sure if it was the injury or loss of confidence due to not getting near the team last season since then that has affected him as he looked like he'd gone backwards in the Euro qualifiers?

Though I am loath to agree with Croe he would be useful to keep in the squad as we are short in defensive midfield cover where we've been playing a 16 year old CB in Poyet's position. Deserves a chance to show what he can do when called upon imho.

Re: Poyet to Milton Keynes just makes no sense at all
Problem I see with continualoans is that the player ends up at a club who will seek to get what they can out of them for the period of time they are there. They aren't looking at lng term development just how to get that player to suit their system. So a loan for experience and learning how to play against adults and more frequently can be good for younger players but loaning someone out time and again never really seems to work.

Saw Poyet for best part of a season at Charlton (work). Looked twice the player Coquelin was when he went their on loan.

Hopefully he will do well at MK and come back ready

Re: Poyet to Milton Keynes just makes no sense at all
People liked him because he's either a really handsome bloke, or it was to have a moan about Noble.

I don't mind him. I think he's way off the level we want though.

At the moment anyway.

Looked nothing special in the Euro games.

Tidy player, but not good enough yet. Great move for him and us.
